GIG TEE #➀

August 22, 2012

Today we tried the transfer paper onto the crinkled tshirt technique I talked about here. Below are the different steps of printing the image ☟ ☟ ☟

✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄

Close-ups of the print in the folds ; we had to iron the pattern twice, once folded once flattened, in order to fix the small bits the iron couldn’t reach the first time.

✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄

here is the result, it looks pretty similar to the sketch!

☟ and of course more close-ups of the flattened tshirt.

✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄

We are happy with this so tomorrow we’ll go ahead and make the 3 other ones.
