♢ Prints In Progress — Update ♢

March 8, 2011

We finished caandides’ new poster’s acetate yesterday (we just added the myspace and put another black layer to make sure it is opaque). I made the screen this morning and we will print the posters tomorrow and thursday.

Then the 50 prints diagram thing protest. I decided to keep it as it is and not to add another layer of information ortherwise it would have become too complicated.

And since I had spare time this morning I made another poster as a reaction to the fact that in King’s cross there is room for retail spaces but not for workshops, therefore workshops.

I am not too happy with design or the colours, I might add another layer tomorrow morning.

prints in progress

First, something I am working on for the print matters interest group for the protest against the move of the printmaking and bookbinding facilities to Byam Shaw. I decided to make a diagram of how I think and work on my projects, from the idea to the finished objects, how things are interlaced and how it is important to have as many facilities as possible at hand in order to push the projects further.

I don’t know if I am happy with it. I would like it to become a bonker pattern with no begining and no end.

Another print I have been working on (with Gabriel Wéber) is a poster for Caandides gig on march 23rd. We have decided to keep the ‘template’ of last years poster so that they become part of a series.

This is the current artwork (we will add a couple of elements)

Some preliminary sketches

Both of these shall be printed by friday!
